The Classic AAR Roundtable is back. Ryan Petty, Justin Moon and Brad Premo join Mark Walters after the Gun Rights Policy Conference to examine Mark’s onstage conversation with ATF leadership. Each brings a different view of the agency’s promises to gun owners and firearms dealers: what sounded encouraging, what needs a written policy, and what will take time to prove.
The panel discusses federal firearms license revocations, the need for clear rules that dealers can follow, and whether changes at the ATF can last beyond the current administration. They also return to Ed Martin’s comments about firearm rights restoration and the potential for government power to be used against political opponents.
Later, Mark and Ryan discuss suppressor transfers in light of litigation and pending agency guidance. Mark specifically urges dealers to wait for written guidance; listeners should not treat the on-air discussion as confirmation that every dealer or buyer may use a Form 4473 for a suppressor transfer. The hour closes with California legislation, including expanded firearm safety certificate training requirements discussed on the show.
