Hi Mark,
Great show,I listen to your podcast whenever I can,but I have a question that I havent heard discussed.
If you live in a state that has a shall Issue permit law you can carry in all reciprocal states, however, if you live in a state like Arizona now and Vermont where no permit is needed to carry you loose the right to carry in any other state that does issue permits,So in effect you loose.Has this ever been discussed on your show?
Mark,
Listening to your podcast for about 1 month. Really enjoy it.
My family and I went to D.C. to attend the 2A march–what an awesome event. Our plan was for me to spend the day and my wife to take the kids (all six of em) to see some sights. Turns out none of them wanted to leave. We all enjoyed the day. Don’t be jealous, but our son also made life mag. Wish I would have gotten to meet you.
Keep the Faith!!
Jeff
Mark,
Great shows, keep it up. I first heard about David Olofson on your program some time ago and was reminded of it when I saw a fund for his situation on GOA’s website. I was wondering if you have any further information or update to his situation? I think this is an important issue to keep everyone informed about as it could happen to any of us…
Keep up the great work!
Ryan

hey Mark, i live in southeast Michigan and id like to know is it possible to listen to your radio on a FM style car radio or just on the internet and do you have a channel hear in Michigan
Hey Mark! Writing to you from the Sunny Gunshine State, heard about your show on Bersatalk.com and haven’t missed a show since! This might be a good topic for the round table. My brother-in-law is a Sergeant for a major city police department here in Central Florida and he recently told me that they are switching from carrying their Glock .40’s (I believe it’s the Glock 22, your fav) to the Sig Sauer 1911 in .45. I’d like to hear your expert panel’s opinion as far as switching to a gun that holds less ammunition, but packs a bigger punch. Also, it’s worthy to note that comparing the two, he ABSOLUTELY loves the recoil (or the lack thereof) of the Sig. BTW, I’m carrying a Bersa Thunder CC in a Kholster listening to your latest broadcast right now. My .380 shipment is 6 weeks out on backorder but I’m hangin in there. Keep up the good work and good luck to our neighbors to the north.
Mark, As a member of the Patriot Guard we welcomed home LCLP Lane Morrow from Afganistan last night at the airport in Reno. Very touching….the young Marine started down the line and shook everyone’s hand (about 70 people). Before He arrived His Mom greeted each one of us and not a dry eye in the place. This was much better than the two funerals (I could only make 2) We had for fallen young men last year. I’m an NRA member and also a USCCA member. If your not familar with the “Patriot Guard” please check “US” out. I’m also a Veteran and listen to your show every monday night on line. I’m in church when your on the air on Sunday evening…thanks for all you do…Steve
Hey Mark, I finally joined USCCA today….I know its about time, but better late than never though right? I am looking forward to getting in there and digging through that “warehouse of knowledge”.
I have been listening to you since you had a one hour show and have loved every minute of it. I tell all my friends about how my prescription for FREEDOM has been filled. Your show is filled with important content: training, tactics, gun selection, gear selection, legal advice, legal advances…and at times it is down right entertaining!! Oh, and yes, there is even political view sprinkled in….a little here and a little there throughout the three hours. That is good though, because we do not just care only about our gun rights, we care about all of our freedoms. They go hand-in-hand. Those people that say they care about “Freedom of Speech” but don’t give a flip about their own “right to keep and bear arms” have a serious disconnect somewhere; and I seriously call in to question their “passion” when it comes to their “Freedom of Speech”.
Anyhow, I have gone on more than intended. Thanks for “Armed American Radio” and all you do. Keep up the good work (and the good politics).
Oh, one more thing; My Pastor, last Sunday evening, gave a shout out (during the sermon) to all conceal carry permit holders. He told us that we were more that welcome to bring them to church. Isn’t that great!!! I guess you never know when God will use a permit holder to protect His house.
Your Armed Friend (in Minnesota)
Matt
Mark you mentioned on your last program a URL to join USCCA and get various premiums etc. etc. Can you provide this URL which I cannot recall now?

U.S. reverses stance on treaty to regulate arms trade
(Reuters) – The United States reversed policy on Wednesday and said it would back launching talks on a treaty to regulate arms sales as long as the talks operated by consensus, a stance critics said gave every nation a veto.
The decision, announced in a statement released by the U.S. State Department, overturns the position of former President George W. Bush’s administration, which had opposed such a treaty on the grounds that national controls were better.
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said the United States would support the talks as long as the negotiating forum, the so-called Conference on the Arms Trade Treaty, “operates under the rules of consensus decision-making.”
“Consensus is needed to ensure the widest possible support for the Treaty and to avoid loopholes in the Treaty that can be exploited by those wishing to export arms irresponsibly,” Clinton said in a written statement.
While praising the Obama administration’s decision to overturn the Bush-era policy and to proceed with negotiations to regulate conventional arms sales, some groups criticized the U.S. insistence that decisions on the treaty be unanimous.
“The shift in position by the world’s biggest arms exporter is a major breakthrough in launching formal negotiations at the United Nations in order to prevent irresponsible arms transfers,” Amnesty International and Oxfam International said in a joint statement.
However, they said insisting that decisions on the treaty be made by consensus “could fatally weaken a final deal.”
“Governments must resist US demands to give any single state the power to veto the treaty as this could hold the process hostage during the course of negotiations. We call on all governments to reject such a veto clause,” said Oxfam International’s policy adviser Debbie Hillier.
The proposed legally binding treaty would tighten regulation of, and set international standards for, the import, export and transfer of conventional weapons.
Supporters say it would give worldwide coverage to close gaps in existing regional and national arms export control systems that allow weapons to pass onto the illicit market.
Nations would remain in charge of their arms export control arrangements but would be legally obliged to assess each export against criteria agreed under the treaty. Governments would have to authorize transfers in writing and in advance.
The main opponent of the treaty in the past was the U.S. Bush administration, which said national controls were better. Last year, the United States accounted for more than two-thirds of some $55.2 billion in global arms transfer deals.
Arms exporters China, Russia and Israel abstained last year in a U.N. vote on the issue.
The proposed treaty is opposed by conservative U.S. think tanks like the Heritage Foundation, which said last month that it would not restrict the access of “dictators and terrorists” to arms but would be used to reduce the ability of democracies such as Israel to defend their people.
The U.S. lobbying group the National Rifle Association has also opposed the treaty.
A resolution before the U.N. General Assembly is sponsored by seven nations including major arms exporter Britain. It calls for preparatory meetings in 2010 and 2011 for a conference to negotiate a treaty in 2012.

When will your show be available on XM and SIRUS radio?
P.S. I’m glad to see that you are available on 1440 KEYS in Corpus Christi, TX where I live, but I’m often on the road and out of range of their signal on Sunday’s when you broadcast.
Hey Mark,
Since the elections are coming up, I think it’d be a REALLY good idea to feature politicians who stand for what we stand for. I think it’d be great to hear their stance on today’s important issues to be heard and to get their name out there. One such candidate that I’d like to hear from is Rick Scott for Florida Govenor. His website is http://www.rickscottforflorida.com/home/
Keep up the good work,

why can’t I download more then 1 episode from itunes?
Hi Mark,
I was on my way home from a movie here in Vancouver, WA. I love talk radio and I turned on 970 am and heard your show. I also carry the Glock 22, and I truly fell in love with it. I heard you tell the e-mail writer Keith to practice, which is something I try to do. I just wanted to say hi, love the fact that I discovered your show and already passed website on to 3 of my friends who love freedom and our country. Anyway, I will listen to you as often as I can and will continue to educate others on why more guns = less crime.
A New Fan,
Scott
Hey there Mark,cey
I am a first time listener and I am Hooked. I will listen from now on. My wife and I are in the process of get our concealed carry permits. Unfortunately the program was preempted by JUCO baseball and I didn’t get to listen to the second and third hours of the program.
Thanks for being there and I will listen from now on.
Sincerely, David Yancey
Hello Mark …. I enjoyed the show on 05-30-10 very much especially hearing from Nikki Goeser.
I had to laugh at your comments about how politicans would not lie …so I thought i would share a recent e-mail response that I received from Mayor Michael Bloomberg of New York.
I wrote him to thank him for his public service but requested that he resign his office because the American People had no shortage of politicans who would lie or distort the truth on second amendment issue and this was his response:
Dear Mr. Oliver:
Thank you for your email. Like many cities across America, New York faces a serious problem: criminals with easy access to illegal guns. That is why we have adopted a comprehensive three-pronged strategy of tougher enforcement, new legislation, and innovative litigation – and our strategy is working. Last year crime was down significantly, even as it had been rising in the rest of the nation.
About 90 percent of guns used in crimes in New York City come from out of state, and so we have a responsibility to work with other mayors to find innovative new ways to crack down on illegal gun trafficking. That is why I helped to create the national coalition of Mayors Against Illegal Guns, which has grown to include more than 500 mayors from across the country, and from both major political parties.
The fight against illegal guns is not about the Second Amendment. It is about enforcing the law and keeping illegal guns out of the hands of criminals. Our Administration will continue working to do everything possible to keep all New Yorkers – and the police officers who protect us every day – safe, and to continue making the safest big city in America even safer. While we may not agree on this issue, I appreciate your sharing your point of view with me.
Sincerely,
Michael R. Bloomberg
Mayor
Hey Mark,
If or when you get the time, take a quick read of this story. It will only reinforce the fact that some of the criminal element just don’t care at all!

Keep up the good work that you do and We will be listening to you on the radio. Thanks, Charlie S
Hi Mark,
I really enjoy your show! I received the following email this week and thought I would share it due to the relevance of what is going on in our country right now. Keep up the good work and I really appreciate everything you are doing to keep our 2nd Amendment intact!
David M
You are sound asleep when you hear a ‘thump’ outside your bedroom door. Half-awake, and nearly paralyzed with fear, you hear muffled whispers. At least two people have broken into your house and are moving your way.
With your heart pumping, you reach down beside your bed and pick up your shotgun. You rack a shell into the chamber, then inch toward the door and open it. In the darkness, you make out two shadows. One holds something that looks like a crowbar.
When the intruder brandishes it as if to strike, you raise the shotgun and fire. The blast knocks both thugs to the floor. One writhes and screams while the second man crawls to the front door and lurches outside. As you pick up the telephone to call police, you know you’re in trouble.
In your country, most guns were outlawed years before, and the few that are privately owned are so stringently regulated as to make them useless. Yours was never registered.
Police arrive and inform you that the second burglar has died. They arrest you for First Degree Murder and Illegal Possession of a Firearm. When you talk to your attorney, he tells you not to worry: authorities will probably plea the case down to manslaughter.
“What kind of sentence will I get?” you ask. Only ten-to-twelve years,” he replies, as if that’s nothing. “Behave yourself, and you’ll be out in seven.”
The next day, the shooting is the lead story in the local newspaper. Somehow, you’re portrayed as an eccentric vigilante, while the two men you shot are represented as choirboys.
Their friends and relatives can’t find an unkind word to say about them. Buried deep down in the article, authorities acknowledge that both “victims” have been arrested numerous times.
But the next day’s headline says it all:
“Lovable Rogue Son Didn’t Deserve to Die.”
The thieves have been transformed from career criminals into Robin Hood-type pranksters. As the days wear on, the story takes wings. The national media picks it up, then the international media. The surviving burglar has become a folk hero. Your attorney says the thief is preparing to sue you, and he’ll probably win.
The media publishes reports that your home has been burglarized several times in the past and that you’ve been critical of local police for their lack of effort in apprehending the suspects. After the last break-in, you told your neighbor that you would be prepared next time. The District Attorney uses this to allege that you were lying in wait for the burglars.
A few months later, you go to trial. The charges haven’t been reduced, as your lawyer had so confidently predicted. When you take the stand, your anger at the injustice of it all works against you. Prosecutors paint a picture of you as a mean, vengeful man. It doesn’t take long for the jury to convict you of all charges. The judge sentences you to life in prison.
This case really happened!
On August 22, 1999, Tony Martin of Emneth, Norfolk, England, killed one burglar and wounded a second. In April, 2000, he was convicted and is now serving a life term. How did it become a crime to defend one’s own life in the once great British Empire? It started with the Pistols Act of 1903.
This seemingly reasonable law forbade selling pistols to minors or felons and established that handgun sales were to be made only to those who had a license. The Firearms Act of 1920 expanded licensing to include not only handguns but all firearms except shotguns.
Later laws passed in 1953 and 1967 outlawed the carrying of any weapon by private citizens and mandated the registration of all shotguns.
Being good British subjects, most people obeyed the law. The few who didn’t were visited by police and threatened with ten-year prison sentences if they didn’t comply.
Police later bragged that they’d taken nearly 200,000 handguns from private citizens. How did the authorities know who had handguns? The guns had been registered and licensed. Kind of like cars. Sound familiar?
WAKE UP AMERICA!
THIS IS WHY OUR FOUNDING FATHERS PUT THE SECOND AMENDMENT IN OUR CONSTITUTION.
“..It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people’s minds..”

Hey Mark,
Love the show. I was thinking about the June 13th broadcast where you mentioned that the ‘Toy Story’ cowboy does not have a pistol in his holster. Then last Friday in the L.A. Times there was a story about a young school boy that made a cap for Memorial Day with American flags and little toy army men glued on it, he was summarily expelled from school because the toy army men had firearms and there is a ‘No Tolerance’ policy. His parents met with school officials and they had to remove all the toy figures and were finally able to find a single army figure that was looking through binoculars. The binoculars were acceptable. I’m not giving Disney a “pass” on this issue but do you suppose the cowboy is disarmed so that schools kids could bring into class ‘Toy Story’ pictures and action figures and not be treated like felons?
In reguard to my prior post about the young boy with the Memorial Day hat. I see now that since the school got “outed” by a certain Lt. Gen. Reginald Centracchio (general emeritus of the Rhode Island National Guard), they are now “trying” to change their policy and the school principal is sucking up to the military, saying that the no-weapon policy should not apply where the depicted weapons are “the tools of a profession or service”. As for me, I can only say one thing – - “Bonehead”

Saw you on TV recently and would like you to be on radio in Bend Oregon. We have two talk AM radio stations. Is it likely in the future?
Thanks, John
I look forward to victory in the McDonald case before the Supreme Court! But many battles have been won only to lose the war, and I am very concerned that anti-gun fanatics are going to put the full-court press on the lame-duck CONgress if there is a conservative landslide in November. In such a case, I fear what sweeping anti-gun legislation they’ll force down the throats of every freedom-loving American. Nothing could be as dangerous to the Second Amendment as a CONgress bent on destroying the Constitution and our right to bear arms.
Each of us needs to make it our personal business to become involved politically! We can not rest on the laurels of one court victory, because people like Mayor Daley have the attitude “I don’t care — I don’t have to!” Each of us needs to bring two other people to an armed self-defense course or a program like Appleseed USA (appleseedUSA.org). We need to politely get in the face of the politicians and not rest until we reverse the trend against firearm ownership in general and the ability to carry a handgun for our personal self-defense.
People who are against the right to lawfully carry a concealed firearm are involved in what is for them a highly-emotional issue. I can promise you that when a gun-toting criminal or lunatic points a gun at them, they are not going to think about how proud they are to be taking guns out of the hands of good, decent citizens: they will wish that they had one for their own self-protection.
Hi, Mark:
This is to let you know about my new blog:
http://prarmedcitizen.blogspot.com/
Thank You,
Walter
Congratulations to Otis McDonald and his attorneys for their landmark case victory! Thank you, Mr. McDonald, for your courage and stamina in seeing this fight through.
This is cause for celebration for the immediate moment, but not for us to relax.
Mayor Daley has promised to make firearm ownership in Chicago so difficult and expensive as to make it prohibitive, lengthy and difficult. Daley has no respect for the rule of law in “his” city: he sees himself only as a threatened monarch and with all the talent and power that could otherwise be put to good use, he has vowed to unleash hell itself against those that dare tire of and fight back against predatory criminals that he tolerates and even promotes. He sees this primarily as a personal attack against him — and where extremely insecure individuals are threatened, today’s victory against him is guaranteed to bring out the most venomous reaction.
For each small victory against them, those who scheme to deny freedom-loving Americans their liberty are visicously putting other formidable obstacles in the form of local and state ordinances designed to make the fight horribly time-consuming and expensive. Fighting the good fight against them and their schemes is very important, but what we MUST do is be good examples to the liberal left: we need to dissuade them of their folly. We need to invite them to self-defense training courses so that they can see that the image of firearm owners is tainted. We need to approach them with reasonability, courtesy and respect — what most of them refuse to give us. We need to win over those who oppose our freedom most visicously.
We can never forget that our country is under the most vile of attacks by those who not only want to see this great nation fail and collapse, but to financially profit from its destruction while they, themselves, become the new heirs to power in the world. We must never forget that the man who has stolen the seat of this nation’s power is a fraud, bent on destroying not only this nation but specifically the white middle-class while secretly enslaving men, women and children of color for endless centuries to come. We can never forget that private firearm ownership is the Grand-Slam prize trophy that this pretender ultimately seeks.
We can never let our guard down, for the defense of freedom demands our vigilance. We have 127 days left before we lose perhaps our only opportunity to begin taking back our country.
Mark, what you do is of such vital importance to each person who owns a firearm — but, more importantly, vital to the very fiber of freedom that this country is made of. You are essential to the uphill fight that lies before us. Many of us will tire or lose heart; many of us will fall; many will be lost. You, and all those who work with you in the production of your show, should never lose sight of what is at stake in our behalf.
May God bless each one of you, richly and abundantly, in this and all your other endeavors.
Mark,
I am going to try and call in on your show this next Sunday and visit with you on our Freedom Firearms Act and other events that have evolved since Gary Marbut and I joined you last year.
In case I don’t get through, I would like to ask you to give us some help to bring awareness to our “open carry” event that we will be holding on the 4th of July in Yellowstone Park. We will gather at High Noon at the board walk going around Old Faithful.
Thank you for all you do,

Mark, thanks for the great show.I am looking forward to hearing what you have to say concerning the CCW laws as they apply to
OTR drivers.I work for a large company that told us all at orientation that federal law prohibited us from carrying a hand gun etc.in our company tractor. Now, I get the part about the tractor belonging to them(I’m a company driver),but I’m pretty sure that there is no federal law that applies to this issue as far as restricting our right to carry a legal weapon in a tractor we pretty much live for 3-5 weeks at a time.Company regulations are a separate issue,of course.
Anyway,I look forward to hearing future shows and getting your opinion on OTR drivers and the laws regarding CCW.
Mike H.
Mark call me i know you are swamped I have move to a task force postion and would love to update you and life or death concealed carry as well as some of my other “advenutres” its been to long brother
Hi Mark, What happen to last nights show 8/1/2010. I was looking forward to listening to it here at work, but it must be lost. Could you find it and post so we are able to listen to it.
James
Dear Mark : Since I see no radio show for Illinois, please try
to set up one with Chicago AM radio station WIND, AM 560 on the
dial. Tks. Bill
Mark, when are you going to be on XM or Sirius Radio ? soon I hope , My two brothers are over OTR drivers and would love to be able to get your program
Mark, you and director/co-host of Armed American Radio, Sean Young present the greatest broadcast. Continue on!!
On a recent broadcast the subject of “national reciprocity” came up for a brief mention. I stood against such federal legislation, and I believe you said the same. We must keep the feds out of matters concerning the specifics of concealed carry and leave the details up to the states!
Since the signing of our glorious Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and our Bill of Rights, has Washington, D.C. legislated any further freedom that it has not qualified or restrained in some form or fashion?
A good brief read would be Chuck Baldwin (chuck@chuckbaldwinlive.com), Aug. 13, “States, Not Supreme Court Must Decide Laws and Protect Freedom”.
Thanks, and carry on, Mike
I live in KY and as you know they have a pretty good CDW law. However, I work on an un-armed victim collage campus. What weapon(s) would you recommend carrying while at work?
Hi Mark,
Where can I get my hands on one of those nifty AAR shirts? They are pretty cool looking,
Thanks,
