I enjoy the show after the fact via podcast archive. Was listening to the story about ripple and justice (being served). What an idiot. While listening, I realised that I was playing with a new knife that’s called the ripple, made by CRKT. Pretty neat. That got me wondering, why we don’t hear more discussions regarding knives. I know your three hours are packed full already, but I think many folks would enjoy some discussions on new knives, current news stories, legality of carry in some of the states and so forth.
Here’s a story you may have already heard, but really got my attention as my son and I are planning a trip to NY to play some baseball in Cooperstown and then visit NY city since neither of us have been. I carry a knife everywhere, so you’ll see why this story got my attention.

I just listened to hour #3 from the 06-17-2012 show and this was, in my opinion, the best hour of Second Amendment discussion that I have heard in quite a while.

This venue is right up my alley. I have been a supporter of the 2nd amendment even before I was old enough to vote. Hunting, fishing and camping has been a big part of my life.I feel all law abiding should be able to carry a weapon, concealed or otherwise. Criminals innocence should never be put infront of the armed law abing citizens. My vote has always been for the candidate who showed they honor our Constitutional rights and in the free market. To me any State that denies their residents or visitors from carrying concealed should be sued. Anyone who shows they are responsible citizens should be able to carry in any State without harrassment. The Bill of Rights was written in a way that makes it unchangeable and divinely given. God Bless and keep up the good work.

Penny gun auctions will not last, personally speaking of course. They did change to 30 second reset, to 20 seconds, still should be set at 10 seconds….Also They are not putting that many guns up for auction. All the ones I saw are 100 + hours away. And….being that you can get points so cheap. therefore they are not reaching at least minamum bid…..Ive tried both Bidgunner and penny, and bidgunner is so much more popular. bidgunner has much more options to.

I enjoy watching Penny Gun Auctions (PGA) and appreciate being able to get the AAR bonus bids. I hope to use my bids to win a future auction. I understand that my cost to win an auction will be the cost for the number of bids I place plus any shipping costs. So if I make 10 bids and win a gun that has free shipping, I have just bought a gun for $5.00! Awesome!
I wanted to make one observation about the PGA system that I have noticed. It is possible that people may forget that each bid costs $.50. That means that if the winning “price” bid for a gun is $38.48, it means that auction received 3,848 individual bids. (3,848 pennys = $38.48) Since each bid costs 50 cents, the total bids paid to PGA by all the bidders ($0.50 x 3,848 bids) is $1,924. This is what PGA collects for this $419 gun. If you consider the wholesale cost of the gun is probably around $200, then all the bids for this auction were $1,724 profit to PGA above the cost of the gun. That’s the free enterprise system at work and I say more power to them.
Now if I only made 10 bids to win the gun, then my cost is $5.00 and I got a screaming deal. But if I had to make 1000 bids to win the gun, my cost is $500 and I could have bought it for less money online.
At the end of each auction they announce the winning bid “price” for the gun and subtract that value from the suggested retail price to show the great “savings”. I think it is important for people to remember the cost for each bid and that the final total number of bids dictates the final “price” recorded. For example, Auction #86 sold a S&W Bodyguard 380 w/Laser for a final “price” of $38.48. When deducted from the listed retail price of $419.00 the “savings” is shown as $380.52. Since the final auction price does not reflect the actual cost to the winning bidder, it is a bit misleading for them to publicize a “savings” value of $380.50 when they just made $1,700 profit on that gun. If the winner of the auction made 77 bids, then his cost WAS $38.50 and the savings for the bid winner is accurate. The actual “savings” may be more or less depending on how many bids the winner had to place to win the auction.

In reference to the bodyguard, I only used about 30-40 bids however I signed up early and was able to get 110 bids for only 20$. While i could have gotten this gun for very close to 300$ + tax locally using LEO discount i preferred getting it for the 38$ + 25$ transfer fee + less than 10$ worth of bids. However I suspect as more and more people find out about the site they are going to start selling for at least 100$ on most auctions especially since there is only 1 auction per night. I hope they will use the large profits they are making to make multiple auctions per night.
I watched the Kimber auction that went for 57$ and with 20 second bids I think it still went to almost 0500 in the morning EST! so yes 10 second auctions would work better i think.

I spent Independence Day at my local gun club. As a group(about 30 people) we gave thanks to God for His Blessings, shared a pot luck, prayed for the Nation, dedicated a new and larger Flag,(our old Flag will be retired with proper honers by the Boy Scouts), and read the Declaration of Independence out loud. After that we went to the rifle line to exercise our rights under the 2nd Amendment.
Guess this means that I now meet Homeland Securities definition of a potential terrorist.

I was listening to you broadcast last night as I usually do while grilling on Sunday evening and took to heart you thoughts on the media. Yes they do “make” news rather than report it; they put their spin on everything they report, just listen to NPR any day..
So you have to ask yourself; What went wrong in America that brought us to this place; overbearing, bloated government, 16 trillion dollars of national debt, 168 trillion in total government debt and liabilities and a growing population segment that is rewarded for being “Americans With No Abilities”, ill informed, poorly educated and nearly unable to contribute or work in a world the requires education and specific skills. And at the same time those with skills are often punished if their skills are no longer politically favorable! Consider the logger or oil worker! Big Government has saddled all of our children with more than 170,000 dollars of debt each! We are buried in regulation and false agendas! Can we point to one event that went by so quietly we all missed it? I believe the answer is YES! That event was conservatives getting out of the news business; just not profitable they said! Sadly the 60′s and 70′s saw the exodus of conservatives in news; outside of Fox and talk radio they never returned. Mean while liberal media built a public point of view that didn’t exist and couldn’t exist with out a daily dose of propaganda built on an existing belief.
Not so long ago the newspaper was the “trusted source”, it was how the electorate became informed and educated. Every city had at least one paper that leaned to the liberal side of life and one paper that leaned to the conservative side of life; and what made the papers the trusted source was not the sterling character of the journalists, editors or owners. Sure, during the 50′s, 60′s and 70′s we had a better class of journalist but what made them “The Trusted Source” was the other newspaper. When the Liberal paper skewed a story the Conservative paper was there to point out the errors, when the Conservative paper went off the track the Liberal paper was there. It was impossible to carry a false agenda when there was a fact checker. That war of opposing agendas made the newspapers the “Trusted Source” for everything in a metropolitan area. As an old Newspaper guy said; “Nothing happened in politics or business with out the newspaper and it was where everyone went to find everything”. Many people subscribed to both, one as their morning paper, one as their evening paper!
I believe that it’s time for conservatives to get back into the news business but the new media will look nothing like an old fashion newspaper. This is my passion and mission. Bring back the daily duel of ideas I call the Agenda Wars! If you have the time you can read more about it at agendawars.com. A viable, honest news service is insurance to protect our constitutional rights and freedoms; we would never leave our personal property uninsured. Now is the time to invest in the insurance to protect our rights and property. I do not want to wake up one morning and discover our constitutional freedoms were burned to the ground uninsured!!
Perhaps knowing someone else understand the perils of one sided news is a small light in a darkening world of rights for the individual, perhaps it is not, but where ever I go I preach this message. We must take back our side of the conversation in daily media in every metro area in America. It is my mission!

Your denier tirade sounded like it was coming from a far too smug and obnoxiously overly-opinionated a–hole. Because you have an opinion doesn’t mean it’s useful knowledge that helps people make better decisions. It doesn’t mean it should be shared. You’re not an expert on climate change (I know that’s difficult for you to grasp) and you well proved it talking about the latest derecho. I have sent you a link to an article that was in the Minneapolis Star Tribune Sunday addition of the Newspaper dated July 8, 2012 that I was hoping you might comment on in a future show. I would love to hear your opinion on the 3rd sentence in the 3rd paragraph where he the article states “He’s just another average Minnesotan who has acquired the power to kill”. I’m not a big fan of the NRA, but I think they have really worked hard for our rights as gun owners so I rejoined this year after years of absence. I also went down my phone list and called everyone I knew who owns guns ( especially hand guns ) and told them that I wasn’t a big fan of the way the NRA did buissness or all of thier beliefs, but that I had rejoined. I told them that they could create a shit Email address for free if they wanted for all of the unwanted EMail to go to and am going to help one person set one up after work. I also told them that they have a choice of magazines and that I liked the one I had picked.
I think I actually got 6 more people to sign up out of 10 calls, and I caught up with a few friends I had not talked to in way to long

A derecho is a specific and well defined meteorologic term, which was first used in 1888. It’s not a new concept or a new “scare word” made up by the media and it’s not just a regular line of thunderstorms or a squall line. They only occur 1 or 2 times per year in the midwest and eastern part of the US.

I had to chuckle when I heard you comment about garage door openers on your Sun 7/8 show. In the 1980′s when garage door openers were in their infancy, I was at a friend’s house and he showed me that every time they used their electric can opener, the garage door opened. Apparently the can opener was on the same radio frequency as the garage door opener.

David Codrea is the real deal. He may never have told you this, but he participated in pursuing Attorney General John Ashcroft in a lawsuit pursuing the Second Amendment’s codification in the US Supreme Court. That case, Silveira v. Lockyer, was cited in the Heller decision that ultimately reversed US v Miller. David’s insights were pivotal, crucial, invaluable. His support of others involved and his strident stance for empowering others and standing firm against tyranny played and genuine role in reforming our history into a brighter future for firearms freedoms.
David helped raise funds. He helped review each step in the legal developments up to and including the Certiorari Petition to SCOTUS. He pursued every channel he could reach. He just needs a bigger micorphone and wider audience (and funding would be great). In many ways, he’s like a modern day Patrick Henry — using new technology with an ancient Spirit that demands FREEDOM and will not settle for anything that falls short of that worthy ideal.
God bless this man. And God bless you for understanding who he is and how thankless and tireless are his efforts to pursue JUSTICE from a justice-lacking system.

What should be our response when a truck load of U.S. Army or U.N. armed troops show up at your house in the middle of the night and demand that you turn over you guns or be shot to death. The government did this in New Orleans during Katrina, as a test to see if they could get away with it, which they did. Obama has plans for Hiliary to sign a treaty with the UN, on July 27th, agreeing to take away all guns from all Americans. No single homeowner is a match for a truck load of soldiers in the middle of the night. What can we do about this intolerable situation that is about to be thrust upon us?
If I’m not mistaken within hours of the Colorado shooting, before even all the peoples bodies were removed or the police entered the shooters apartment the media reported that he had 6000 rounds of ammo purchased…. some or all through the internet. Then shortly a description of all 4 guns he had and what stores he bought them from. How was this information attained so quickly and why was it broadcast when they won’t even release the booking mug shot of the “suspected” shooter????? I thought the government wasn’t maintaining a list of all the guns citizens of the US purchased let alone a list of how much ammo they have purchased. What’s up?
P.S. And how does the story that he called himself the Joker come from the NYPD police commissioner? He’s not from Colorado or a Federal agent…. again…. What’s up??

About a year ago we both got carry permits, took the appropriate * hr. classwork/test & gun-range familiarity class & got everything signed & OKed to purchase weopons w/ comceal/carry permits. the only problem: WE got no gunz cuz we got no mo money! At the end of the month President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will be addressing the U.N. Small Arms Treaty in front of the United Nations. There is a very small possibility that this measure could end up in front of the Senate. We all need to contact our Senators and let them know that before this happens we want to see them speaking out against this measure, and that we love the Constitution and the Second Amendment. And should it end up in front of them for a vote anyone that votes for it is asking their constituents to vote them out of office. This is a responsibility we all have as citizens of these great states. You may not like guns, but you need to recognize that this is something that our founding fathers felt very strongly about, strong enough that they put it as the beginning of the Bill of Rights. The Second Amendment not only allows us to protect our lives and those of our loved ones, but it also protects our freedoms and rights that The Constitution grants and promises us all. Let us all stand up and be counted.

Thank you for contacting me to express your opposition to the United Nations (UN) Treaty to regulate small arms. It is good to hear from you.
Like you, I am vehemently opposed to the U.S. signing any UN Treaty that would regulate small arms. I believe this is a ba…ckdoor way to chip away at every law abiding citizen’s right to keep and bear arms. As you know, the Obama Administration has expressed an interest in international small arms control initiatives that were resisted previously by the Bush Administration. However, if the Obama Administration does sign the U.S. as a party to the treaty, it would have to be ratified by 2/3 of the U.S. Senate. I continue to be actively involved with some of my colleagues in gathering information and educating other Senators and the general public to prove that this treaty is unnecessary and unconstitutional. Besides signing onto a letter circulated by Senator Jerry Moran (R-KS) to both President Obama and Secretary Clinton expressing overwhelming opposition to such a treaty , I have also joined as a cosponsor of S.2205, the ” Second Amendment Sovereignty Act of 2012 ,” which prohibits funding to negotiate a UN Arms Trade Treaty that restricts the Second Amendment rights of United States citizens . Please be assured that I will continue to monitor this issue closely and I will oppose this treaty should it come to the floor of the U.S. Senate.

In the wake of the recent shooting in Denver, Jason Alexander has stepped into the fray spouting his gun grabbing garbage on his Twiiter account. It would be great if, on your next show, if you could provide a counter- response and thouroughly dis-credit everything he tries to argue. A lot of people are using his arguments and logic (to support gun-control) and it just makes my blood boil!!
Hey Mark. I just wanted to share my “Grilling while armed” experience. While I was grilling a couple of burgers, armed with my Sig SP2340, chambered in .357 Sig, I was listening to the Classic Rock Station on satellite radio. As the burger juices sizzled, I heard Sammy Hagar’s 3 Lock Box, followed by Uncle Ted’s Stranglehold. I couldn’t help but think of AAR. Keep up the good work in informing us on Fast & Furious and all things pro-2nd Amendment.

KrisAnne Hall spoke on a radio program the other day to explain that any country that signs this U.N. Arms Treaty be subject to the Treaty laws and decisions of the U.N. as to whether citizens of that country can own small arms. She says the wording of the U.N. Treaty is incompatible with our U.S. Constitution, and small arms will be illegal to own if Obama signs the Treaty and if the U.S. Senate ratifies it. She said if his signing it is ratified, then it will be up to the Governor of each state of America to refuse to cooperate with the Treaty laws and U.N. decisions regarding American citizens’ rights. KrisAnne said Americans must retain their 2nd amendment rights to defend our country and the U.S. Constitution against any person or foreign U.N. armies who threaten America. The U.N. Arms Treaty is another step towards America’s losing its freedoms and becoming a weaker power nation of the world. America will have to abide by the Treaty laws and also other U.N. laws. Anyone who puts the U.N. Arms Trade Treaty ahead of our U.S. Constitution will be committing Treason, she said. Obama will be committing Treason by signing the U.N. Arms Trade Treaty and our Senators will be committing treason if they ratify it. KrisAnne said George W Bush was given three goals: weaken and wear out our U.S. military, depress the U.S. economy, and take away Americans’ freedoms as by the Patriot Act: amendments 4, 6, and ? one other. Obama has made these three goals much worse. George H Bush started this naming the New World Order.

The Purposes of the United Nations are:
To maintain international peace and security, and to that end: to take effective collective measures for the prevention and removal of threats to the peace, and for the suppression of acts of aggression or other breaches of the peace, and in conformity with the principles of justice and international law, …
Therefore, each party to the treaty must write laws regulating the sale and possession of firearms consistent with those standards. So, each law must guarantee that the sale and possession of guns are only allowed where the GOVERNMENT can ensure that such activity will not be a “threat to peace” or cause “breaches of peace” and these laws MUST conform to international law. How does international law define “threat to peace”? What activity will cause “breaches of peace”? Compliance with this treaty now obligates our Congress, when drafting laws, to comply with international law? Seriously? This makes our Congress bound by a global democracy and not a Constitutional Republic based upon the consent of the governed. This move toward global governance is antithetical to the Constitution.”
Another principle of the UN Charter requires Congress, when drafting these laws, to focus on international cooperation. ….

I love my open carry & concealed carry state. While listening to the show in my mancave, I love reloading shotshell for my daughter’s trap league. I love reloading rifle rounds for home defence & prairie doggin’. I love how my AR & my varmint rifle are highly accurate with the same load. How cool is that?! I love when my pistol packin’ preacher speaks from Romans 13, especially verse 4 (he likes to substitute 9mm for ‘the sword’). NOTICE
Lawful treaties made by the United States cannot redefine, contradict, replace or otherwise change United States law; Treaties cannot be crafted, used, or claim to circumvent or nullify [any part of] the Constitution, or Founding and supporting documents.
Treaty making powers, restrictions on treaty making powers and requisite delegated authority are found in the Constitution at :
1. Preamble – written at the direction of the People who fought and won the War for Independence, stating the intent and purpose for/of creating the Constitution.
2. Article I, Section 1 – Legislative authority delegated to Congress
3. Article I, Section 8 – Constitutionally stipulated subjects and areas of Legislative authority.
4. Article II, Section 1 – Oath of Office of the President (last clause).
5. Article II – Duties, responsibilities and powers of the President, specific to Executive treaty making powers and restrictions under the Authority of the Constitution, Section 2 , clause 2.
6. Article III, Section 2 – Judicial review of Treaties made under the Authority of the Constitution.
7. Article IV, Section 3, clause 2 – Congress delegated the sole Authority to dispose of Property of the United States.
8. Article V – Stipulates the narrow Authority and singular method for the Lawful amendment of the Constitution.
9. Article VI, cl. 2; cl. 3 – Constitution declares how it becomes, and is, the Supreme Laws (form of Law) in America.
10. Article VII – Establishment and ratification of the controlling Constitution.
The Constitution is written in the clear language of the common tongue. The Constitution establishes that properly passed [Lawful] treaties have a legal standing : status : authority parallel with other common, regular, Congressional, Executive, Judicial, bureaucratic general welfare movement. Therefore, being an element of government operations authorizing only mundane general welfare governmental processes, treaties have no capacity to define, redefine, compromise, alter, replace : abridge the Constitution or Laws of the United States.
The holding of Law is that all elected and appointed officials, having achieved their position through a competitive process and swearing of an oath of office, are the highly trained, well educated, professionals they represent themselves to be. Which means, when such officials choose to act without authority : under pretense of color of law : supporting unlawful treaties’ they’ know what they are doing and have no claim of immunity, or any immunity, from Civil suit and Criminal prosecution.
The particular phraseology of the Constitution of the United States confirms and sustains the principle essential to all written [actual] constitutions that ‘a law repugnant to the constitution is void’; which concept establishes that the courts, the executives, the legislators, every department’s employees, are bound by and subordinate to the instrument as it comes to them.
Bound by the Constitution the legislative branch makes laws : Bound by the Constitution the executive branch enforces law : Bound by the Constitution the judicial branch assures the uniform operation of law and due process. By Oath or Affirmation every employee of all departments : agencies : agents : contractors are Bound by the American Constitution : to support the American Constitution.
Legislative acts contrary to the Constitution are not Law. Executive acts contrary to the Constitution are not Law. Judicial acts contrary to the Constitution are not Law. Bureaucratic acts contrary to the Constitution are not Law. By definition and operation the merely general welfare undertakings which are treaties, statutes, opinions that are contrary to the Constitution are not Law.
In America, ‘Foreign acts in agreement with and contrary to the Constitution are not law.’

This is being done by re-defining the purpose, definitions, and meaning of the American Constitution by deliberate, constant, obfuscation, sophistry, and grafting to confuse, confound, and undercut the principles of government by written Constitutional Law.
The New Nobel Class [NNC] wants the American People to follow their popularized left v. right, liberal v. conservative, Democrat v. Republican Statism political model (collectivism : socialism, Marxism, democracy, feudalism, et al) which extolls the supremacy of the State over the life and rights of the individual citizen.
The NNC uses the false Statism model to divide voters into conflicting groups and direct their attention away from the real NNC agenda : Statism. Rejecting Statism, the Founders believed in and supported securing Individual Natural Right : individual liberty. Therefore, from the beginning, the real political model is a written Constitution designed to suppress Statism and secure and protect American Citizens in their Individual Natural Right.
The NNC refuses to apply the Constitution to protect ‘Us’, the American Citizens, in our Constitutionally secured Natural Rights against all Domestic and Foreign trespass, oppressions and invasions : Statisms. In America it is the mandate, the will of the people, that government by written Law exists and must operate to ensure that ‘We, American Citizens’ enjoy, and are secured in, our Natural Rights through a fixed government by written law …stipulated as the United States Constitution’, Laws, and Treaties made in pursuance thereof.
The New Noble Class [NNC]have been and are trying to use pretense of color of law Treaty processes to change what they cannot change by common legislation, executive action, judicial resolution, or through the extraordinary act of Amendment. Under the NNC’s constructed pretense of color of law operations, the NNC claims that the bogus Treaties they create are binding to the point that they supersede : alter U. S. statutory law and the American Constitution.
The NNC assertion that mere Treaties are superior to our Constitution and Laws cannot be ignored.

Several million people from around the country need to ‘send the notice to’ all 535 incumbent members of the American Congress [copy to all your states us senatorial and us house district opponents], C/O each of the 198 delegations in the UN to the delegation and the home government; whatever state you live in = your states gov, your state state house district candidate and state senatorial district candidate [copy to all opponents] your county sheriff, and each of your county commissioners [copy to all opponents].
Give copies to your church congregation – delivered in person if church management has issues. Give a copy to the people you work with, and anyone else you might believe might be interested.
Make people aware get people taking turn this issue into a political football in the 2012 election. Go to town halls, call talk radio, leave copies around the world, and talk, talk, talk – notify – notify – notify.

As I recall title 8 and 46 are immigration related USC’s, you will probably need a copy of all immigration USC’s… you will need copies of the entire texts of USC 18 and 28… If you have the people, acquiring copies of the actual Statutes will be beneficial. You will want digitized copies of anything you can obtain and the civil suit against Pres. Andrew Jackson, Marbury V Madison, and the Little Case [it involved T. Jefferson I believe]. Then you must layout your charging steps, probably county through state, through federal… resolution will lie in the public exposure you leverage along the way and requesting an order from the world courts – human rights commission and courts Ordering the American government to enforce the Laws of America… ask for the civil action paper work to sue the charges out in the international arena.

I was looking at this article from the State Department today and it says the people agreed to surrender all of it’s weapons to the UN. Also says our Military will be disbanded and the UN will take over. I didn’t believe it till I read it for myself. You can read it here.

Hi Mark, I read your article (“Now I know Who owns the road”) in Concealed Carry Magazine. Answer – we all do. I have been behind drivers like you before, and although I was not as flamboyant as the guy you described, I was probably as disgusted. You are usually going up a two lane mountain road with 20 cars piled up behind you, driving along with that stupid grin on your face. Who appointed you the cop to say how fast others can drive. Are you saying there was no place for you to pull over and let him pass in your 6 mile trip? How do you know he did not have an emergency to get to? Being that “As you sow, so shall you reap” is true, some day, you will need to get to your mothers house, or some other emergency, very quickly, and some smug idiot will be doing the speed limit getting “joy” out of keeping you from your emergency. Remember your article when that happens, maybe it will give you comfort as the minutes tick away.

Hey Mark. Love the show. I have been listening for 3 weeks. I am new to concealed carry. (About 5 mos now) I wanted to get your opinion on something. In regards to the Colorado massacre…. What if two sheepdogs that didn’t know each other responded to that crazed lunatic. Isn’t there a real probability that they would shoot each other? How would the courts look at a unintended shooting in that situation?

My name is Charles Ely, and I am a resident of Kitsap County, Washington. Our county is trying to pass a shooting range ordinance that is so restrictive that it will put the ranges out of business in short order. Thursday,8/9/12 was the last day that the county would accept written comment on the ordinance.On that same day, the county released a staff report as the rational for the ordinance. The information in the report is a lie.The next public meeting on the ordinance is 6pm on Thursday,8/15/12. at the County Bldg. in Port Orchard , Wa.
