To whom it may concern,
I live in Olympia, Washington and used to listen to Armed American Radio on KGTK 920 AM here in Olympia. However, for the last three to four months the program has not been played. During the time on Sunday mornings when Armed American Radio is supposed to be played there is only dead air until the hard breaks are set to come on. I have attempted to contact the radio station about this and I have sent messages before to Armed American Radio but no one responds back. I would love to listen again while I am in the car but I cannot if all the radio station plays is dead air during your program.
Mark, I’m sure you have already heard what the Mayor of Chicago wants to force on the rest of us that live in the State of Illinois, He announced on February 9th that he wants legislation that would require handgun registration and titling in the State of Illinois. What a fool.
To Kelly David.
I listen to AAR on 970 AM from 6-8 pm. See if you can get it on the air/atmospheric bounce up there. 970 also has a website that you may be able to connect to in evening.
Sorry you lost it up there. They may be a preprogrammed station that employs an anti- who accidently leaves the relay off. I don’t know that this is happening but it might be the source. I know, paranoia….
Hope it helps

Hey mark. Watched that video of the Father shooting his daughters laptop after hearing your archived show for last Sunday and I noticed that He himself called his ammunition “Exploding Hollow Point Bullets”… The Newscasters were wrong in the fact that they didn’t research the fact that there is currently no such ammo but you can most likely check that off as none of them knowing anything at all about firearms. I beleive that the Father was most likely trying to sound cool to the kids who were going to watch the video on the daughters Facebook Page. Just thought I’ld point that out. BTW: I love your radio show and listen to them on my hour long commute to work each day. Thanks for archiving the old shows so I can hear them. Keep up the good work.
There are things to hold Romney accountable for, but Judicial appointments isn’t one of them. A panel comprised of all Democrats, selects nominees. Romney was lucky to have been able to appoint ONE Republican, and I’m fairly certain that that panel would have tried their hardest to get the most liberal candidates on the list.
Method of Selection (full term)
Supreme Judicial Court: gubernatorial appointment with approval of governor’s council*
Appeals Court: gubernatorial appointment from nominating commission with approval of governor’s council*
Superior Court: gubernatorial appointment from nominating commission with approval of governor’s council*
*The nominating commission screens applicants for the supreme judicial court at the governor’s discretion. The governor’s council, also referred to as the executive council, is a constitutionally authorized body that advises the governor on Massachusetts affairs. The eight-member council is elected annually by the general court, Massachusetts’ legislature.

Mark I thought you may like this article. As a board member of the Kansas State Rifle Association we have worked to get all the mayors of Kansas off of MAIG’s list successfully. Galena mayor holds robbery suspect at gunpoint
2/23/2012
GALENA, Kan. (AP) — Galena Mayor Dale Oglesby doesn’t take kindly to trespassers on his property. Early Wednesday, Oglesby saw someone near a storage building at his home. He grabbed his 9 mm semi-automatic handgun and held the man at gunpoint until police arrived. Police say the suspect had two motors from oil field equipment that belonged to Oglesby when the mayor stopped him.
The man was booked at the Cherokee County Jail on suspicion of theft and criminal trespass. Police say he might have had an accomplice but that person has not been caught. The Joplin Globe reports (http://bit.ly/w1zdu0) the confrontation came just hours after Police Chief Larry Delmont gave a presentation to the Galena City Council on an increase in scrap metal and battery thefts in the town.
nice piece about emily got her gun in DC was very interesting to listen to and since then have looked up the times to read the rest of the story, hope you follow up on this,
Why do we have to pay to exercise a Constitutional Right. Apply every argument used to justify any restriction on your 2nd Amendment rights to any other Const. Right. Try voting for example. Imagine having to pay to get a license to vote. Oh wait, we tried that and boy did the “poll tax” get shot down. (like the pun)or what about needing training (education) to vote. Can’t do that, it would disenfranchise some (not allow them to exercise their Const. right) A case could be made that any fee on gun ownership in itself violates poor peoples rights (still sounds like voting doesn’t it) since they cannot afford to buy permits.
Since you are always talking about only reading the headlines you should check out the joke of a page “Violence Policy Center Concealed Carry Killers” facebook page at:

I am an avid podcast listener of AAR–since near the beginning. Mark Walters’ skill as a broadcaster has improved tremendously over the last year and a half or so–not to imply he was lame in the beginning. He’s good at what he does. Very enjoyable.
A request to the producer: please increase the gain of the program going out to archives/podcasts. I need to crank the radio way up to the upper end to get normal volume. The max volume on an iPhone is a little problematic.
Local station carrying AAR is Freedom 970 in Portland.
I found something very interesting on Facebook. I know this has nothing to do with the 2nd Amendment but this really makes me mad. I served proudly for 24 years and I can’t believe all this. Makes me wonder what WILL happen to the 2nd Amendment.
In an effort to cut defense spending, the Obama Administration plans to cut health benefits for active duty and retired military personnel and their families while not touching the benefits enjoyed by unionized civilian defense workers.
The move, congressional aides suggested, is to force those individuals into Obamacare, Bill Gertz reported at the Washington Beacon.
Gertz added:
The proposed increases in health care payments by service members, which must be approved by Congress, are part of the Pentagon’s $487 billion cut in spending. It seeks to save $1.8 billion from the Tricare medical system in the fiscal 2013 budget, and $12.9 billion by 2017.
Not everybody is happy with the plan, however.
Military personnel would see their annual Tricare premiums increase anywhere from 30 – 78 percent in the first year, followed by sharply increased premiums “ranging from 94 percent to 345 percent—more than 3 times current levels.”
“According to congressional assessments, a retired Army colonel with a family currently paying $460 a year for health care will pay $2,048,” Gertz wrote.
Active duty military personnel would also see an increased cost for pharmaceuticals, and the incentive to use less expensive generic drugs would be gone.
Health benefits has long been a prime reason many stay in the military – but some in the Pentagon fear the new rules will hamper recruitment and retention.
“Would you stay with a car insurance company that raised your premiums by 345 percent in five years? Probably not,” one aide said.
John Hayward of Human Events adds:
Veterans will also be hit with a new annual fee for a program called Tricare for Life, on top of the monthly premiums they already pay, while some benefits will become “means-tested” in the manner of a social program – treating them like welfare instead of benefits for military service. Naturally, this is all timed to begin next year and “avoid upsetting military voters in a presidential election year,” according to critics.
There will be congressional hearings on the new military health care policies next month. Opposition is building in Congress, and among veterans’ organizations, including the VFW, which has “called on all military personnel and the veterans’ community to block the health care increases.”
Others are concerned about the double standard being set between uniformed military personnel – who are not unionized – and civilian defense workers who belong to public sector unions.
Gertz wrote:
A second congressional aide said the administration’s approach to the cuts shows a double standard that hurts the military.
“We all recognize that we are in a time of austerity,” this aide said. “But defense has made up to this point 50 percent of deficit reduction cuts that we agreed to, but is only 20 percent of the budget.”
The administration is asking troops to get by without the equipment and force levels needed for global missions. “And now they are going to them again and asking them to pay more for their health care when you’ve held the civilian workforce at DoD and across the federal government virtually harmless in all of these cuts. And it just doesn’t seem fair,” the second aide said.
At least one Congressman is standing with the military on this issue.
“We shouldn’t ask our military to pay our bills when we aren’t willing to impose a similar hardship on the rest of the population,” said Rep. Howard “Buck” McKeon (R-CA), who chairs the House Armed Services Committee.
“We can’t keep asking those who have given so much to give that much more,” he added.
McKeon will be joined by some 5 million members of 32 military service and veterans groups, according to retired Navy Capt. Kathryn M. Beasley of the Military Officers Association of America, who called the plan “a breach of faith.”
The Beacon also noted the curious timing of the plan, which is set to begin next year – after the 2012 elections. Critics say this is designed so as not to upset military voters.
It’s one more reason Barack Hussein Obama does not deserve to be re-elected in November.

Your opening monologue for the 3/4/12 show was SPOT ON!!!!! You reiterated exactly what I’ve been telling my wife about the fact we should allow all educators to carry concealed for protection of our children when they are under their care in our schools. My wife works in the school system, but unfortunately does not agree with our line of logic. I also have a sister-in-law in the education system that does not agree with this logic either.
It is beyond me why some people have no concept for the capabilities of EVIL people. As you mentioned, signs do absolutely nothing to prevent violent acts of aggression in our schools. This has been proven time and time again! Yet, the sheep of the world bury their heads in the sand and think they are safe.
I have trained my kids to shoot and respect firearms. My two oldest are accomplished shooters, but “at times” they question the need for concealed carry. I believe this comes from the daily input from our anti-gun media, mostly what they see on TV. Most kids cannot comprehend acts of violence and given they remain sheltered and at times fooled into thinking that they are safe. They never really believe BAD things can happen to them. That is the reason, we must all continue to push our LOGICAL beliefs of an armed society until we can all rest easy when our loved ones are out of our immediate protection.
Don’t get me started on school “Lock Downs”. This is just another way to bring sheep to the slaughter. This has been proven many times over to the point of insanity.
I’m a well trained avid competitor in the shooting sports and have trained many people to use firearms safely and effectively over the years. We need to somehow break the mold and get educators trained and lawfully allow them to carry in our schools. If I can’t be there to protect my kids at school, who will? The police, please!!!!!!
Anyway, keep on keeping on with what you do. I’m grateful for all that you do!
May God steer my aim and provide me with the confidence and state of mind to protect the loved ones from all evil in this life.
I would like to comment on the laws of Ky when it pertains to “no gun” signs. First I should mention that in Ky we can openly carry at the age of 18 with no restrictions other than no guns are allowed in k-12 schools, court of justice courthouses, and detention facilities. We have parking lot protection for anyone who keeps a firearm in their vehicle on private property and we can carry firearms in our vehicles, within reach and loaded without a license. We can carry concealed at the age of 21 with a cdwl, and there are a few more restrictions on concealed weapons than openly carried weapons due to our state constitution.
In Ky, a business or whoever can place a “no gun” sign on their doors, however, I have every right to ignore that sign and enter anyways. If I’m inside and a manager or owner can see I’m carrying, they have a right to ask me to leave. If I do not leave “after being asked,” then they can call the police and I can be arrested for trespassing. I believe every state should adopt laws just like Ky’s, and not make someone a criminal for lawfully carrying a firearm. I’m very proud of my state and my legislators of the commonwealth of Ky, and to many’s surprise, democrats have done more than anyone for our right to keep and bear arms in this state. Firearm laws are almost non-existent in Ky, and we have more laws protecting our right to keep and bear arms than we have infringing on that right!
Mark, for the listener who wants you to stop using the “carry your club” line, i somewhat agree.
I prefer to use a spear It is after all the 10MM of primitive weapons!
The club is my backup.
Great show as always! Thank you for the updates from the gun rights defense groups. Your interview with 2nd amendment foundation and Georgia Carry reminded me it was time to renew my membership and send them support. Love the good news they bring. Take care.

Hi Mark,
Would you send me the Eric Holder recording you played last Sunday 3-18-12, or send me a link so I can download it. I want to send it to my local radio station for them to play.
Wow. I just got really sick from that bit of Eric Holder talking about brainwashing me to hate guns. What is this country coming to? We elected these people! They have to be insane. There is no logical reason to hate a piece of metal that much. I wish they would just hate criminals. Mark and Shawn keep up the good work. Thank you for the warning before you played that Holder part, it may have saved my lunch. Yours in freedom, Luke Mickelson

While what has been reported in the press seems to indicate that George Zimmerman was clearly in the wrong by instigating the confrontation with Trayvon Martin, who would have thought the Black Panthers would publicly express a loss of confidence in the current administration?
In Florida, New Black Panthers rip Obama, Holder over Martin shooting
SANFORD, Fla. — Rallying in front of the Sanford Police Department headquarters, members of the New Black Panther Party ripped President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder for not responding forcefully enough to the killing of Trayvon Martin, an unarmed black teenager.
Mikhail Muhammad, the southern regional minister for the New Black Panther Party, told The Daily Caller that he thinks that the DOJ’s decision to get involved in this case came “a little too late.”
The DOJ didn’t decide to get involved until after Democratic Rep. Corrine Brown pressed Holder for federal help on the case. The Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division finally announced it was launching an investigation into the case on March 19, according to The Miami Herald, nearly a month after Martin was killed.
“With all federal civil rights crimes, the government must prove beyond a reasonable doubt that a person acted intentionally and with the specific intent to do something which the law forbids — the highest level of intent in criminal law,” an unnamed DOJ spokesperson told The Herald. “Negligence, recklessness, mistakes and accidents are not prosecutable under the federal criminal civil rights laws.”
“The community has lost confidence in our government,” Muhammad, the leader of a small Thursday afternoon protest, said. “He [Holder] waited to make a decision to step in. Why? To appease the black community? To make them believe that we’re citizens?”
Muhammad said he doesn’t have confidence in Holder’s ability to handle the case correctly and is concerned that Holder is only interested in political spoils he may reap from the tragedy.
After reading the headlines about the US soldier who shot up
Afghanistan civilians, I couldn’t help noticing an irony. There is
all this clamor to try this guy quickly and execute him, never mind
his having suffered a traumatic brain injury.
Yet this Major Hasan, who shot up Fort Hood while screaming Allah
akbar, still hasn’t stood trial, and they are still debating whether
he was insane, even with the clear evidence regarding his motive:
slay as many infidels as possible.
So we have a guy in a war zone who cracks, and he must be executed immediately.
But this Muslim psychiatrist who was stateside in a nice safe
office all day murders 13, wounds 29 of our own guys, and they try to argue the poor lad suffered post-traumatic stress syndrome, from
listening to real soldiers who had actual battle experience. Two and
a half years later, they still haven’t tried the murderous bugger.
I agree, what has been reported indicates Zimmerman may have been in the wrong, however, I know from local experience that what is reported, especially in the beginning, is not always accurate. I’m wondering why the police did not charge him. They clearly believe that he reasoonably acted in self defense. I would like to hear what evidence brought them to that conclusion. Clearly it is nothing the press is reporting at this time. All of them, FOX News included, are phrasing it that Trayvon Marting was “gunned down”. The implication of “gunned down” is not one of self defense. As Paul Harvey said, I can’t wait for “the rest of the story …”.
Hey Mark, just a thought……How about changing the title “Bonehead of the Week”. You always like to poke at people who say “I support the 2nd Amendment, but….”. You could change it to “‘But’-head of the week”. I don’t get to listen to your show live, but I never fail to listen to the archives off the web site. Love your show and the work you do….keep it up! I’m looking forward to the day when I can carry my club outside my cave!!

Mark,
Your opening monologue for the 3/4/12 show was SPOT ON!!!!!
Shoot straight and be safe!!!

Take care.

The latest from Virgnia Tech. Too bad the lawsuit didn’t address the higher duty of Va Tech to protect its students as they don’t allow them to protect themselves. How many lives would have been saved if there had been armed students able to protect themselves?

Hi Mark,
Would you send me the Eric Holder recording you played last Sunday 3-18-12, or send me a link so I can download it. I want to send it to my local radio station for them to play.
Thanks,
John
Hey mark, I really like aar and listen on the podcast. I joined uscca the day after Christmas and I still have not received the uscca magazine yet. Can you help?
Mark;
The National Gun Victims Action Council is continuing its national boycott of Starbucks; see URL below. The response of the gunrights community, a buycott, was focused on it being a one-day event on Valentine’s Day. Please tell your audience to continue the Starbucks Buycott.

I recently purchased the Old Faithful Holster kit to custom-make a holster for my Beretta Nano. I made some videos of the experience.

The holster is not completely finished yet but it has been a fun and interesting project.
While what has been reported in the press seems to indicate that George Zimmerman was clearly in the wrong by instigating the confrontation with Trayvon Martin, who would have thought the Black Panthers would publicly express a loss of confidence in the current administration?
http://dailycaller.com/2012/03/22/in-florida-new-black-panthers-rip-obama-holder-over-martin-shooting/
I have a little bit problem to access it via iTunes?
I have usually been able to listen to it, but today is just weird.
J.
