I am looking for a place to post a comment about Jared Jewelry. On their door at a shopping center near Seattle they have posted a sign on the glass entry stating: “No person shall carry, possess, have under the person’s control, convey or attempt to convey a firearm, concealed firearm, dangerous ordnance, handgun, or deadly weapon on or onto this land, parking lot or premises.” I wrote to them and asked “Would you please take a few moments to inform me why you do not want my business?” Their reply stated “Even though many states have laws permitting residents to carry concealed weapons and firearms, private emploers have the rightto ban weapons and prohibited persons with weapons from entering the premises. For the safety and security of our customers and store employees Jared has made the decision to ban weapons and anyone posessing them from entering the store.” I’m sure you would have trouble, as do I, understanding this logic! Even if I wanted to leave my firearm in my vehicle and then come in and shop (which I don’t), they would disallow that, too! Richard Baldwin in Kent, WA
Want to wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Illinois. Met you at the GRPC and it was a pleasure. Still listening to AAR regulary and enjoy it very much. Keep up the excellent work.
Just got back from working on the Ranch with the horses, and was a bit hungry, so I stopped by a Churches Chicken, and begin to walk in, when lo’ and behold, there was this sign staring me in the face. http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u513/Koinonia2/001.jpg
I thought that it couldn’t be right. It wasn’t there the week before when I had stopped to eat! I went in and asked about the sign. The Manager said that they were robbed the past Thursday.
I promptly walked out. They just don’t get it. I sure won’t be stopping at any Churches fast food place, anytime soon!
Baldwin’s comment about Jared is true in Fairfax County VA. too. However, there the parking lot is a shared lot with other stores. I woundered, since the spaces were not marked, how they determined that you were on “their property” and not the store across the lot.
2 questions: What is the site that sells ‘make your own’ holsters?
I believe this site, Old…something or other, was introduced as a new sponsor, but I can’t see it listed.
Brian Terry’s personal testimony was read on Armed American Radio, but I can’t find a print copy to send to others. Please help.
Hi guys I live In the great gun state of VT and the wife wants to move down to NC, is this a gun friendly state? Do you have to apply for a permit for each gun or one covers all of them?
Jeff H – from “Traveler’s Guide o the Firearm Laws of the Fifty States”: “no license required (except for handgun purchases)” unlike most of the northeastern states, we here in the South are gun-friendly and don’t require firearm registration (NC is about as restrictive as it gets). I’d recommend checking out the Traveler’s Guide, it is very thorough and if you are traveling (especially in your neighborhood), it is essential! (I got mine from Buckeye Firearms Assoc.)
Hi, Guys & Girls,
I’m an avid listener of the show and listen on line. I enjoy browsing the website also.
I’ve been listening to the vaious guests of Mark and indeed Mark himself, urging freedom loving American Citizens to make their feelings known, and kick the legislators / gun / freedom haters currently in government, OUT of government.
I live in Wales, part of the United Kingdom. Some Brits like to call themselves ‘Citizens’ and indeed the UK Government refer to their public this way. In actuality, we are ‘SUBJECTS’, with very little in the way of freedoms as you stateside guys would know it.
The last thing I want to do is opine to the good people of the USA, but I feel bound to speak up and warn you of the horrors that await you all if you do not rise up and make your voices heard IMMIEDIATELY!!
The people in your government are slowly but surely chipping away at your CONSTITUTIONAL right to bear arms. They will indeed get their way if the people of America continue to display apathy on your 2nd ammendment. THIS IS JUST WHAT THEY WANT. LEGISLATION BY STEALTH.
I am a keen gun user, but I am severely restricted to the guns I can own, and where I can use them. The UK banned all handguns in 1997, after a shooting incident where a man holding illegal guns as it turned out, went on a shooting spree in a school. The press had a feild day, and the Firearms community did nothing to defend itself. Result; A very strict firearms certificate system was tightened even further. We now can only own a limited number rifles and shotguns, and this too is under threat. The Police ‘grant’ you a licence, you have to jump through lots of hoops to get your licence, the police then dictate how many guns you can own, the caliber of said guns, the ammount of ammo you can stock, and can take it all away on a whim.
We cannot use firearems (or any other weapon) for self defence. We do not have the right to defend ourselves, in fact. Bullet firing guns can only be used in government approved ranges, or selected hunting areas. The result of all this legislation? a rising crime rate. Especially handgun crime. (The criminal fraternity do not adhere to goverment dictates however, and still carry handguns. Funny that!!!))We have the highest level of CCTV Surveilance in the western world, but still the crime rate rises. . . .
Sorry this is so long, but I need to ram home this point,and I’m shouting it out to all Americans whenever I get the chance;
If you do not get acitve and defend your constitutional right to hold firearms, you will surely end up like us suckers in the UK. You will be subjucated, legislated, and dictated to by an interfering government keen to spend your tax dollars, but give you no rights as to if where that cash is spent.
For God’s sake act decicively; Join the N.R.A, The gun owners of America, and save yourselves from being disarmed and at the mercy of every scumbag who takes a fancy to your wallet, car, home or family member. We in the UK are fighting for all we are worth to defend out puny gun ownership laws, don’t loose your rights!!!
I just listened to your podcast from Feb 12th. Unfortunately, I can’t listen live. While this does not excuse the info-babe from not doing her homework, if you view the whole video (the FaceBook parenting video you discussed), the dad refers to it as an exploding hollow point, so I’m sure the reporter just parroted that. Love your show, and normally news media deserves the criticism (and in this case still deserves some for not doing their homework) but they were just parroting the dad’s description of the bullets …
Just listened to last weeks show where you mentioned the media called the hollow points used to shoot a laptop “exploding hollow points”. I just watched the video and it was the shooter who called them “exploding hollow points”. So, the media must have just parroted what the shooter called them (which makes it sadder still).
Just saw something on line about Ted Nugent endorsing Romney for Pres. You must talk to him about this when you get him on your program Mark. He has the worst rating from the GAO of any of the GOP candidates. Also, I feel left out of your contests as a loyal podcast listener. I can’t listen live most of the time. I did like you on facebook once does that count?
Can we really be surprised by a D.C. deputy mayor opining that your injuries, kidnapping, or losses are not worth resisting attack?
After all, they re-elected Barry convict as mayor and their affirmative action hiring policy now dictates that they hire police with criminal records and require no mental nor physical ability testing. The entire city is a lost cause and the Deputy Mayor is probably afraid one of his family members will be injured while assaulting an armed citizen. He’s a moron in an enclave of idiots so to them, he’s a genius.
Mark, in Minnesota we’d like to send Zimmerman some money… How do we set that up???? His church? Second Ammendment foundation….he’s ‘radio-active’ now but will be cheered by support. $10 x 10,000…it won’t be a problem…If you don’t know how we can do this who would…How about The Nuge?
Was looking for the gun trading/auction site that Bloomberg hates. I think Mark’s mentioned 2 of them. Anybody remember what they are? I don’t see any as sponsor links…
I’m just now listening to the 4-15-2012 broadcasts (following the St. Louis Convention)…Even though I’ve been an NRA member for a long time this year was the first convention I’ve ever attended and what a fantastic experience.
I’m sorry I didn’t run into Mark but there were a LOT of people there…Friday was crowded but Saturday was flooded with people.
I’m a brit living in the US. I tried to get a CCL but was told I had to be a citizen. Is that correct? is it a federal rule or state by state? Just after some information.
I am digging the new Site! Looks fantastic.
The website looks great. Easy to negotiate and straightforward!

We are working on it in Illinois!
Thanks Mark.
Have your car stolen? Get a fine!
Couldn’t help but laugh especially after Mark’s often stated comment referring to nearly this exact situation.

Hey, any chance that the podcast could have half of the commercial breaks removed (like Tom Gresham’s Gun Talk does)?
