Have you checked out Connecticut’s laws? Do they have an assault weapons ban? Does it mention pistols? Do they have a seizure law? Do they have it setup to go case vs. statue so left leaning judges can circumvent the 2nd A? Have they ever tried to prosecute a citizen for use of a firearm when lives were saved by the use of said firearm?
What about the gun law history of Washington D.C.? How have gun laws been handled in our nation’s capital? Should that tell us anything?
As you often say, look it up on your own, don’t take anyone’s word for it. Once you have answers to these questions, riddle me this Batman.
Why hasn’t one major news group or any mainstream media discussed the facts that anytime the anti-gunners get control of the politics and laws of a geographical area, the laws didn’t work as an anti-crime measure.
Conn doesn’t have a ban on high capacity mags, but look at the laws they do have; why isn’t the media talking about the laws that were in play when this shooting took place? One would think that this particular anti-gun conversation would have ended before it began. The fact that the conversation went nationwide like wildfire gives testimony about who has the media game rigged.
How did Washington D.C.’s laws work out? Those facts are a bit scary. If I was a suspicious man, I’d worry that they might be one of those Chicago like cities that has some influential politician, like a mayor or something that might be a bit criminal. Glad I’m not one of those conspiracy guys.
Essentially, we do have speciic examples of what happens when the anti-gunners get their way. And there are folks that want to apply that failed process to the whole country. Sounds to me like some folks are not interested in any anti-crime measures; they seem to only be interested in passing laws that force everyone to dance like a Democrat. Why do we continue to sacrifice anti-crime discussions for anti-gun measures? Why isn’t this discourse taking place? I suggest that this path would be more solution oriented and less likely to percolate the next active shooter than the mainstream media’s “mini-series” approach.
I think one of the problems with today’s Gov. is that very issue; each party wants to legally force the other side to behave like them. That will leave no freedom, no room to move, for any of us.Both the right and the left do this.
In regards to other countrie’s lack of guns, like Japan, check out what some retired NPA officers have to say. For healthy eaters, how many heart failures resolve crimes? How many homicides in Japan get autopsies? They seem to solve almost every crime don’t they? Look at their history; look at how some of today’s martial arts weapons became weapons; why did they have katas? Was it just the ruling class and their warriors that were allowed to have weapons and practice fighting? Look at Buddhism, was there a time that the common man was not allowed spiritual practices? Has their tradition been one of servility?
We, the people of America, have a tradition of standing up against evil, and against bad rule. America hasn’t always gotten it right, we all know that. And I’m not one who thinks that a person should be made to own or use a firearm if they choose not to. I only ask that they not holster mine.
