The Roundtable. Massad Ayoob, George Hill and Attorney John Monroe chimed in for the entire third hour and the discussion moved about fluently as we discussed open carry, Starbucks, and the previous 2 hours. Always a great hour on AAR!

Mark, Everything about this show is outstanding! How about the link you promised to that hilarious video “commercial”?
On the pro-open carry note, I’m surprised it wasn’t mentioned that criminals traditionally go for easier targets. If a thug wants to steal a gun, I think his chances are better breaking into a house or using some means other than confronting someone carrying. Granted, I’m in Michigan and we carry loaded here (thank goodness). I can see your scenarios much more from a Californian perspective. In my opinion, carrying empty would NOT be a good idea and would, indeed, make carriers targets. Carrying loaded changes EVERYTHING. A good draw-and-fire from concealment or an open holster takes under a second, which changes the entire dynamics of an encounter. Why wasn’t this discussed???
