I hope you can get into some serious discussions on the NRA SELLOUT on HR 5175. I am an NRA member but am also a member of USCCA, GOA, and several other gun and conservative organizations.
NRA was very happy when the Supreme Court overturned the McCain-Feingold legislation against free speech. This un-constitutional legislation affected the NRA. Now the Democrats want to push through even worse legislation that will shut up free speech again, knowing we will be through the 2010 and 2012 elections before the "DISCLOSE ACT" can be found unconstitutional. The NRA made a pact with the leftists to exempt organizations over 1 million and over 10 years old.
I am not sure USCCA and a lot of other conservative "grass roots" organizations will qualify for exemption to sending in membership lists to the government. I, personally, do not want the leftists to have my name on something like the "No-Fly" list. A list of GOA or USCCA would be almost like national gun registration!!
