George Hill, The Mad Ogre joined me for the full two hours and a great discussion was had about all kinds of good stuff! During this hour George and I were visited by The Black Man With a Gun, Mr. Kenn Blanchard who also produces the Urban Shooter Podcast. Listen in as George and I discussed some current anti-gun hit pieces by the Atlanta Journal Constitution (Imagine that, anti-gun editorials by the AJC) and a conversation that morphed into some informative discussion about the beauty and design of the 1911, America’s quintessential handgun.
Kenn was awesome, as he usually is and we had a really fun three-way conversation.

Sorry to seem like a nit picker, but the Mad Ogre, while correct about how useless the UN is, has no idea what he is talking about when he comments on the “League of Nations”. The league was an ineffectual, powerless group of “Do Gooders” who’s only accomplishment was the Kellogg / Briand treaty rejecting war as a means of diplomacy. The uselessness of the League was illustrated when Hitler told them to go to hell and left the league to pursue his own agenda.
The UN charter was a post WWII attempt to improve on the miserably failed league. Neither had any effect on post war Europe, that was accomplished through unilateral action by the US.
The LoN’s only problem was that it lacked Authority. So people decided to give the newly created UN more authority. That’s great.
Unfortunately look who the UN brought in and put in charge… the people who needed to be watched became the watchers.
Which is why it needs to be tossed.
Look at the G8. Who’s in the G8? Pretty much the nations that run the world.
