Philip Van Cleave of the Virginia Citizens Defense League and John Pierce of Opencarry.org covered the full hour LIVE  on Armed American Radio.  The VCDL under the leadership of Mr. Van Cleave has made tremendous strides for the rights of gun owners not only in Virginia but accross the country.  Phil has appeared on virtually every major news network as well as 60 Minutes and I have been fortunate enough to interview him for Concealed Carry Magazine.  

John Pierce brought his passion for VCDL, gun owner rights and the success of the open carry movement to the nations airwaves tonight as he gave us his incredible insight into the topic of openly carrying your handgun.  This was a great broadcast with two media savvy men who make NO bones about taking on the anti-gun establishment with vigour and passion.

You will notice a slight technical glitch at the very beginning of the program on the podcast due to a studio computer error.  No big deal, we missed the recording of the first 1 minute which included the 30 second Nugent opening of the program and 30 seconds of me welcoming listeners to the program.  No show content was missed and we dubbed in the Nugent opening.  Enjoy the program.  I believe it was one of, if not THE most informative yet!!!!

Joining me on Father’s Day was the Godfather of Modern Concealed Carry, Mr. Massad Ayoob,  championship shooter and LFI Instructor Ms. Gail Pepin and Managing Editor of Concealed Carry Magazine Ms. Kathy Jackson.  Massad makes his second appearance on AAR as does Ms. Kathy Jackson.  A great discussion was had on a wide range of topics and as usual Mr. Ayoob gave great information.  Kathy Jackson touched on some gun safety issues and Ms. Pepin discussed her IDPA experiences.  She also has a few $5 bills signed by Massad!  Kathy Jackson has a signed $1 bill.  Listen in to see what it all means!

A great show tonight!  Too short, as usual but hang in there folks…you ain’t seen nothing yet. 

Mr. Bill Akins, inventor of the Akins Accelerator and his attorney, Mr. John Monroe joined Armed American Radio this evening to discuss the ATF action against Mr. Akins and the resultant court cases currently pending against the agency.

Bill’s story of ATF abuse appeared in one of my columns last year and I’m proud to be able to bring his voice to the airwaves.  You won’t want to miss what he has been going through with this rogue agencyand his story will anger you.  It will make you think about who and what we are dealing with when it comes to our firearm rights when we deal with the federal government.

I was also joined in studio by a NJ/PA resident…Because of his business interests in both states, we’ll call him “Joe”.  Joe has residences in both NJ and PA and you do not want to miss his take on being a new gun owner and resident of one of the most gun-hating states (NJ) in the nation and deal with the crap he has to deal with.   No fan of our new Apologist in Chief,  Joe spoke openly about what the election of Obama has meant to him and his desire to become a new gun owner.  After hearing his story you’ll be happy you live in a free state…If you don’t, at least you’ll know you’re not alone!

Have you ever wondered how to deal with law enforcement while legally armed? Maybe you’ve been pulled over or someone saw your weapon while you were walking home from the store.  Are you to notify the officer that you are legally armed when pulled over even if your state law doesn’t require it?

Most legally armed citizens have asked these and similiar questions many times…It is certainly a hot topic on many pro-gun talk forums. Joining me in the studio was an active duty LEO who gave us his perspective.  REGARDLESS OF WHAT STATE YOU RESIDE this was a cool insight into the officer’s mind and thought process.  I challenged him on the issue.

You’ll be surprised (maybe not) to hear which GA business didn’t welcome officer “Hugh” because he was armed.  This one will crack you up.  And disgust you.     

“Hugh” will be joing me on an upcoming show to continue our discussion and get to some of the things that time just didn’t permit us to talk about.

I had to interupt our normal schedule to bring Mr. Dane von Breichenruchardt, President of the U.S. Bill of Rights Foundation and close confidant of Mr. Dick Heller to the show.  Dane joined me to discuss the ramifications of the 7th Circuit Court decision allowing the Chicago gun ban to stand, on the grounds that the second amendment doesn’t apply to the states.  

As usual, we run out of time every Sunday evening because one hour just isn’t long enough.
