Your pgm. was just e-mailed to me by a friend. I was a radio dj from 1968 (my boss was Sam Phillips of ‘Sun Records’) until 1995,
when I retired from a ‘National Pinko Radio/PBS” station here in
South Florida. I have been involved in shooting since 1967, and have instructed (firearms) in Nicaragua, C.A. from 1971-79. I’m a
former aviator. I am a weapons collector, owning 22’s to .50BMG
(including some of actor Burt Reynold’s pieces).
I can identify and support BOTH your broadcasting AND firearms
positions. I’ll be a certified NRA Instructor this November. Count on me. I look forward to listening to you. Watch your six.
I am sorry but I DO NOT THINK that people up here in Ohio can receive your limited transmission without i’pods (???) out of price range of many people.
I think it’s great to have a radio program but don’t tell me there are podcasts of the show and no way to find the podcasts.???????????????????

I am currently listening to the second episode, barely. I have the headphones on and the computer volume cranked to the max. I can hardly hear the lady being interviewed. I doubt that you are broadcasting at such a low audio level. It is a great show, but please try to improve the audio quality.
Will do, Paul. Part of the issue was connection but I will ask the production staff to “up” the guest audio as I noticed it on my CD version listening to the show on the way home.

Say Mark, I just listened to the May 10th show (couldn’t listen live last evening), and decided to actually read Jimmy Carter’s OpEd. I would think that it should be noted–for as many folks as can be told–that his statistic for how many sheriffs and police chiefs supported keeping the ban is misleading. Yes, 1100 sounds like a LOT of them. But according to DOJ statistics the I just looked up ( http://www.ojp.usdoj.gov/bjs/lawenf.htm ), there are nearly 18,000 of them total. That puts Jimmy Carter’s 1100 down around 6% to 7% of all of them–a SERIOUS minority!
Great point and I will mention on air next week to remind folks that these “police chiefs” are POLITICAL APPOINTEES with a partisan agenda. Most people forget that they serve at the pleasure of their local political leaders…not to mention the fact that most people forget that this is a country of 330 MILLION people. We’ll take Jimmy Carter and his op ed and rip him apart next program for a few minutes. Stay tuned…I love ripping these liberals apart.

Hey Mark – THANK you for Armed American Radio podcasts! I have listened to every one except from May 17 the one with technical difficulties. That interview with Dick Heller (5/10) made me thankful I live in Arkansas and not D.C.! I would not have thought government officials could exercise such restrictive power after the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Heller! Eye-opening program! THANK YOU! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! – Larry

I see you have a feed through the itunes store, but this isn’t useful for anyone who doesn’t use itunes to listen to podcasts. Is there any chance of getting an RSS feed in addition to the itunes store feed?

I love this show. I’m catching up on all the podcasts and hoping to hear it locally eventually. Keep up the good work and I hope this show stays on the air for a long time.
First off let me just say LOVE the show, and you probably hear or read this more than one time a week you should make the broadcast LONGER like 2 hours instead of one.
I stumbled upon your show when I renewed my USCCA membership locked in for 3 years best buy for the money. I really do not hear you pushing the USCCA membership may be due to the fact that I only listened to the Inaugural broadcast on 4-26-09 just down loaded all broadcasts to the good faithful iPhone.
I love you guests from the show and again hate to sound like a broken record is there any plans in the works for making your broadcasts longer I see you broadcast from WGKA 920AM and them available on iTunes as a podcast the next day. Or even better could you broadcast twice a week like on a Wednesdays the same time.
In closing LOVE the show, I hope you are able to do more broadcasts for a long duration lets say 200 show lets start small for know.

why is it so hard to get a log on what with the letters and numbers in the box.I put the stuff in the box and it tells me to try again I should get it right some times.

That seems inconsistent with a ‘Right’. Does AAR REALLY endorse the view that the Founders intended us to beg for permission, then pay a fee to exercise our Natural Rights?
If AAR will advocate for the Constitutionally protected Right of the People to keep and bear arms, I am onboard. If this is another ‘find a way to compromise’ group, well… there are already plenty of those.
Absolutely love the show. I’ve downloaded every podcast to date. As a concealed carrier licensed in Texas and Utah I find your shows informative and right on point. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to all your future shows.

Anyone else having a problem with the Itunes feed? For the last 4 weeks I get last weeks 1st hour and this weeks 2nd hour, the descriptions are right for the week, but the file for the first hour is always last weeks. I’ve unsubscribed/resub’d a couple of times. I can send a screen capture if needed to clarify.

Ok, I like so much about the show I hate to criticize but…
The choice of Filter’s “Hey man, nice shot” for segue music might not be the best choice. The subject of the song is the live broadcast suicide of Budd Dwyer. Not sure if you knew that.
ARE THERE ANY STATIONS IN TUCSON, AZ THAT CARRY YOUR PROGRAM?
Mark, is there any chance of having your skilled broadcast engineers combine the mp3’s into one single download of all 3 hours rather than one for each hour? For those of us still working on our local stations, going to 3 hours means combining 3 separate mp3’s into one for convenience on portable players.

You have stated repeatedly that the Second Amendment will not be debated…
Your show tonight struck a cord with me. Debates about what “lawmakers” will do to infringe our Rights does a lot to incite people to speak up, I agree.
About what they will accomplish I don’t.
The heart of Law is in the definition. The Right to bear Arms is just that. It cannot be infringed, period. I have a CCW permit because it puts the state and others at ease. If they decide to “infringe” my Right to carry, I would be the first one in court to shut down that law.

There are a lot more like them out there, and they don’t want to take your guns away. The 1100 referenced in Jimmy Carter’s book are a real minority. I’m just glad the conservative majority is finally finding it’s voice!

Just found the site, is there a station near north-central NC, that carries the program.
I have collected and shoot guns since Uncle Same gave me my first gun in 1943.
Great show, but the callers are too low and your voice is too loud. If I turn it up to hear them I get blasted out when you talk. Why not turn them up and turn you down? Otherwise great show!
Dave Champion would be an excellent guest on your show. He is a great gun advocate and one of the smartest when it comes to tax law. He has a new book coming out soon that he would love to promote as well.
A comment in the 3rd hour of the last show prompted this question:
I’m a gun person, whatever that means. An incident 12 years ago turned me around (I grew up in an anti-gun family). How do you get someone who is anti-gun to come around? What arguments do you use. Frankly, I’ve tried – many times – most of my friends are women – I can’t say that I’ve convinced a single one to change her view. I’d like to know what would be a good approach. Perhaps you can dedicate part of a show to that.
